-We sell these decals for $4.00 each-
The Visual Arts Guild is a parent group
that seeks to support the students and faculty of the Visual Arts
Cluster.
We do that through:
- Providing grants of up to $200 per
school year for any student or faculty member that wishes to attend a
workshop or class to enrich their artistic pursuits.
- Giving a $1000 scholarship to a
student based on their artistic merit.
- Purchasing supplies and equipment
that might not otherwise be available to the faculty.
- Running a regional art competition and exhibit for
high school students called Young American Talent. In
past years we have received over 800 entries.
- Organizing and helping to mat and transport
art work for shows, competitions and exhibits all over the
state.
- Providing refreshments for nearly
all the school art shows throughout the school year.
- Holding a bake sale, which we call "Feed
Your Face". We sell more than cookies. We sell nachos, pizza
and drinks, too.
- Producing a yearly calendar with
dates of all the activities in which your child will participate.
- Having meetings where you can come
and learn more in depth about all the expectations and opportunities
the faculty hold for your child while at BTWHSPVA.
Generally we meet in the library at 6:45pm.
No meeting but a social gathering in December and no meeting in March.
Check the calendar for specific
days.
If you would like to join for a membership
fee of $5.00 a year, please contact our Membership Chairperson.
