PTSA SCHOLARSHIPS FOR GRADUATING SENIORS:

The Booker T. Washington High School Parent Teacher Student Association will award a one-time
scholarship to selected 2008 graduating BTWHSPVA Seniors of $500 to $2,000. The award may be used
for tuition and related fees and/or textbooks at any accredited university, college, or art school of the
student’s choice. Recipients must provide proof of enrollment for a minimum of 12 credit hours
before the funds will be disbursed.

Applications are due May 16th in the counselor's office. Please return an application to Ms. Redmon or Ms. Cockrell.

The Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts Parent Teacher Student Association is pleased to announce that it is providing funds to each cluster to be used for students who are planning to attend artistic enrichment programs this summer. These sponsorships may be used in all or part for enrollment and related fees to attend artistic programs of the student's choice with the approval of their respective Cluster Coordinator. Recipients will be chosen by Cluster Coordinators and teachers in consultation with the BTWHSPVA PTSA Scholarship Committee Chairperson. Recipients will be required to provide documentation of enrollment and/or expenses incurred. An evaluation of the summer program attended will be solicited in the Fall from each student receiving a sponsorship award.

The deadline is May 23rd.

The Friends of BTWHSPVA Dance provides scholarships for dance cluster students who wish to continue their dance studies and improve their craft during the summer break. The scholarship amount and number of scholarships granted varies from year to year, determined by the number of deserving applicants and by the monies accumulated for scholarship purposes.

Selection of scholarship recipients is open to all grade levels with at least one scholarship awarded to a qualified college bound senior.

Complete packet must be postmarked or received by Friday May 2, 2008. An incomplete packet will not be considered.
