MIDI Ensemble is a group that plays funk, pop, and jazz. This is an auditioned group. The student musicians mainly consist of electronic keyboardists and a rhythm section. MIDI includes 3-4 singers. The ensemble strives to perform original compositions of the students involved. Technology and electronics play a big role in the overall group sound. The MIDI Ensemble participates in Downbeat competition annually and has won numerous awards in th past. They also produce an annual CD.
