Currently there are 75 students in the BTWHS Choir. Typically the Freshmen & Sophomores perform together, and the Juniors & Seniors perform together. The choir consists of 5 additional performing ensembles:

MEISTERSINGERS

This is a select small ensemble which focuses on classical music, especially madrigal repertoire. They perform extensively in the community, and it is comprised primarily of upper classmen. This is an auditioned group of about 14 sophomore,junior & senior students.

MINNESINGERS

This is the varsity choral ensemble comprised of all 9th- 12th graders which consists of about 75 students. This is an auditioned group only if you’re from another cluster.

TREBLE VARSITY CHOIR

This group currently consists of 45 young women in grades 9-12. All are members of the VARSITY MIXED CHOIR. Both are non-audition groups.

VARSITY MEN’S CHOIR

This group consists of 30 young men in grades 9-12. All are members of the VARSITY MIXED CHOIR. Both are non-audition groups.

All of the choir students compete in the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) All-State Competition and the University Interscholastic League (UIL) Competition at the district, region and state levels.

The Choir’s annual Fall fundraiser, Abbondanza, is a student produced performance where all BTW students audition to be part of the show.
